COMMUNITY BRANCH

Making Community Possible

Community Branches make community possible for families impacted by disability by cultivating a disability inclusive environment where families can  recharge AND re-connect locally.

Each branch offers programming, events, support, and more for the whole family including individuals with disability,  their parents, their caregivers, and  theirsiblings !

PLANTED 2011
Our first Community Branch and state of the art R.E.S.T. Center!

Joe and Jen Butler, founders of Ability Tree, were college students studying pastoral ministry when their son Micah was diagnosed with developmental disabilities. During that time they began to discover the deep needs of support and rest for families impacted by disability. After pastoring for five years, they and felt compelled to  be a part of the solution, and in 2010, they founded Ability Tree to realize that mission.

The Butlers moved to Arkansas in 2011 and launched the first Ability Tree Community Branch in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Through faithfully serving families in the area, the outreach grew, and in
2019, through generous donations, founders Joe and Jen Butler built Ability Tree's state of the art R.E.S.T. Center. Ability Tree Arkansas is deeply connected in the Northwest Arkansas community and continues to serve the families of children and adults impacted by disability with weekly and monthly programing.

In line with the heart and vision of founders, Joe and Jen,  more Community Branches with R.E.S.T. Centers are being developed across the United States!

Mom's Online Connect

We believe in making community possible, and we want you to be a part of that community! Every Thursday at 7pm eastern time we are meeting online with moms like you! This is an informal group made up of moms from all over the US who are impacted by disability that want a place to connect. Even if you can only join in once, come connect once!
Founder, Jen Butler, and Treasure Coast Director, Kristal Justice are facilitating a discussion driven conversation using the questions at the end of each chapter of Life with Micah by Joe and Jen Butler. Even if you don't have the book or have not read it yet, we still want you to join in! If you want it, but don't have it yet, click the title of the book above to order it today!

We cannot wait to hang out soon! If you have any questions, email info@abilitytree.org.
